Warranty Policy

At JCSS we pride ourselves on the quality of our products and the commitment we show to our customers. If you have a product quality issue within a 24-month period from receipt of your goods it will be investigated; and if we find it due to faulty materials or workmanship, we will repair or replace the product as appropriate.

Our 2-year warranty is in addition to, and does not affect, your legal rights as a consumer under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. This warranty is a separate, contractual promise from us to you, providing extra protection. This warranty is non-transferable and applies only to products purchased directly from JC Sim Supplies or authorised resellers.

Our 2-year standard warranty guarantees your item against defects in materials/workmanship but will be void if the customer has:

  • opened, altered, disassembled or modified the product in any way
  • attempted to undertake any modification or repairs
  • improperly used the product
  • incompatibility with customers existing devices/software

Any and all repairs or alterations must only have been undertaken by JC Sim Supplies. Repairs or alterations undertaken by anyone other than JC Sim Supplies will immediately void the warranty.

JCSS product warranty excludes improper assembly, commercial use, misuse, negligence, normal aesthetic damage and wear and tear over time (such as scuffs, scratches, fading and dents). This also excludes damage from extreme applications, for example, commercial misuse or exposure to harsh conditions which are beyond the product's specified limits.

As JC Sim Supplies is based in the United Kingdom, please be aware that global warranty claims (including shipping items back to us) can be complicated. Please bear this in mind when purchasing a product from us.

 

The Warranty Claims Process:

  1. Complete the web form or get in touch via support@jcsimsupplies.co.uk to make a claim under this warranty. You must provide your full name, contact details, order number, details of the fault/defect and a valid proof of purchase (for example, a receipt or invoice).
  2. We will then confirm receipt of your warranty claim (this is different to confirmation of web form submission or email receipt, issue a case number and confirm details of the returns address.
  3. The item must then be sent to us for evaluation. This is to confirm the presence of the defect and that it is eligible for warranty coverage.  Please note that the costs of shipping the product to and from us are to be covered by the customer. Any associated customs or taxes for sending the product to and from us must also be covered by the customer.
  4. If upon inspecting the product the warranty claim is deemed ineligible, the item will be returned to the customer. We will get in touch with the customer if this is the case and the return cost will be at the customer's expense.
  5. If the product is deemed faulty/defective under warranty we will get in touch with you about next steps. We reserve the right to repair the original product or replace it wholly or in part (this may be with equivalent products/components if the original ones are not available or offer a refund (whole or partial), this is at our sole discretion.

This warranty does not include any consequential or incidental damages.

Please note that with computers and sim racing hardware/peripherals many things can potentially cause issues. These can include, but are not limited to, software, drivers and other devices conflicting.  We will try and help with these issues if they occur. However, these issues do not mean that a product is faulty and does not mean that a product can be returned under warranty.
